A detailed decalogue with the most practical tips on the best ways to fall asleep was published and made available to guests by Vincci Hotels, on the occasion of the celebration of World Sleep Day (March 15).
The decalogue can be found in the rooms of all the hotels belonging to the chain. According to the firm, people spend a third of their lives sleeping and this is one of the most important activities and repair processes of the body.
However, there are also many people for whom it is difficult to get a pleasant sleep, usually because of stress or other medical inconveniences. For hoteliers it is especially important in the task of loyalty to offer the necessary conditions for their guests to get a good rest.
Some of the guidelines referred to in the catalog are, the pursuit of a comfortable posture, it is not advisable to sleep on your stomach, the most appropriate is to sleep on your side or on your back. It is of the utmost importance to get a pillow that allows you to level the head in a horizontal line with the rest of the body. It is recommended for adults to have a sleep of between seven and eight hours.
Before going to sleep it is not recommended to eat foods high in fat or seasoned. It is best to let two to three hours pass after dinner to go to sleep. It is recommended to avoid drinking alcoholic or stimulant beverages and smoking before bedtime, as all these substances influence the nervous system.
A good element that helps to fall asleep is moderate physical exercise, but it should be done about two hours before bedtime as it can generate exaltation. The temperature of the room is also important, between 18 and 20 degrees Celsius is recommended. Soft or dark lighting, as well as avoiding noises allow relaxation of the nervous system.
Even the material from which sleepwear and bedding are made can be a factor that makes it difficult to fall asleep. Natural fibers reduce perspiration and help to have greater comfort.
