A few days before the close of this edition I had the opportunity to share a week of training with Facility Managers of Colombia, in an event held in Bogotá called the Facility Management Week.
For four days, the experiences lived by professionals in this sector in the day to day of their work practice were exchanged, different points of view were known and, in addition, the need to generate actions that strengthen this sector was widely discussed.
Facilities management, to use the closest equivalent in Spanish, is a universe composed of small things, hundreds of details that must be supervised, planned and realized. In every building, on every floor, in every office, there must be someone in charge of directing and ensuring that every aspect of the installation goes perfectly.
However, the profession of Facility Manager is still far from being recognized. Not because it is not important, quite the opposite, but because many do not know that this set of actions developed to keep the operation of a facility ready are called Facility Management.
Therefore, it is everyone's responsibility to begin to generate greater recognition of this profession. From this publication we try to work to train and analyze issues that we hope will contribute to the exercise of all those who are dedicated to working as facilities managers and we hope to continue listening to their voices to grow every day more.
