Colombia. The Nueva Granada Military University (UMNG) of Bogotá, opened a call for the first cohort of its Modern Buildings Management diploma, which will address issues of management, operation, technology and maintenance. Developed in conjunction with the Colombian Association of Facility Management (ACFM), this diploma hopes to offer work tools for all professionals dedicated to property management.
According to the University, the reasons for an academic offer of this type are justified in the development of the country's infrastructure, which requires the consolidation of people with the
greater competences in the administrative, financial, maintenance, service, security and technological areas.
If the minimum number of registered to open the diploma is reached, it would begin approximately in the month of March. Interested persons must send an email informing their intention to participate [email protected], once they have the minimum group of students will proceed to carry out the registration and enrollment process.
The diploma will have a registration cost of 2 million 400 thousand pesos (COP$2,400,000) and a duration of 120 hours. As for the programmatic content, the diploma will have the following main modules:
- Business management model
- Financial management
- Risk management in buildings
- Service management
- Security technologies
- LEED Certification in Buildings
- Security management and supplier contracting
- Equipment maintenance management
- Facade maintenance management
- Evacuation and emergency plan
- Crisis management and business continuity
