Spain. In the Workplace Innovation Forum 'Quality in Work Environments' held this week by the Spanish Society of Facility Management (IFMA Spain), one of the central topics addressed was the benefits that good management of spaces brings to the work environment, which has an impact on a decrease in absenteeism and a better reputation for the company.
This was stated by Vicente Redondo, president of IFMA Spain, who highlighted the importance that this type of conference has when it comes to sharing and disseminating measures to improve business management. "Facility Management has achieved great relevance when it comes to optimizing costs but also improving the productivity of workers by improving their work environments," said Redondo.
In the same sense, Paulino Pastor, general director of Ambisalud, said that "buildings must be managed by companies and specialized professionals, such as facility managers, because if they are not managed efficiently, it affects workers both physically and psychologically and, therefore, the company itself."
Finally, the CEO of Airelimpio, Tomás Higuero, added to the above highlighting that "companies must be made aware that this investment is equal to or even more important than other factors related to employee productivity".
