Latin America. With the opening of 18 new properties scheduled for the remainder of this year, the City Express hotel chain will reach 114 properties in Mexico, Costa Rica and Colombia. This was announced by the director of franchise promotion of City Express hotels, Carlos Adams in statements to international media.
Among the 18 hotels planned to enter the market in 2015, there are three in Colombia and one in Chile. In addition, the chain announced the opening of two new hotels in Cabo San Lucas, the City Express Plus and the City Express Suites.
"The opening of these two new properties diversifies Cabo San Lucas' hotel offering by providing new lodging concepts," the company said in a statement. And he added that "we are very excited about these openings because we increased our presence in the Mexican Republic, now we are in 29 states and 59 cities in Mexico."
Finally, Adams stressed that the company has several projects in mind to continue strengthening its presence in Mexico. "Although we are going through a complex period due to the oil issue, we have a lot of presence in the Gulf, in the Bajio area, which has been very moved by the automotive industry; on the road to Nogales, which is very agricultural, and on the border, which is industrial and technological parks," he explained.
