Colombia. Next Wednesday, September 9 and Thursday, September 10, the 2015 version of ConstruVerde, an international event specialized in sustainable design and construction organized by the Colombian Council of Sustainable Construction, CCCS, will be held at the Cubo de Colsubsidio in Bogotá, Colombia.
Within the framework of the event, a complete academic program will also be developed that will include international experts who will discuss global trends in the field of sustainable construction, as well as Colombia's progress in this area. Guest speakers include:
- Jeff Risom, CEO of Gehl Studio New York and San Francisco, architect and urban planner expert in integrating governance, business and culture into urban projects for their economic viability and social relevance. Gehl Architects is one of the most important global consultants in the field of research and urban design, with headquarters in Denmark and the United States.
- Rachel Gutter (pictured), senior vice president of knowledge and director of the Center for Green Schools, USGBC. World leader in the development of healthy, safe and efficient school plans and projects around a unique purpose: that all students can be in sustainable schools within this generation. The Center for Green Schools is the entity that promotes the transformation of educational infrastructure to achieve sustainable and healthy spaces for learning and human training.
- Kaymar Vaghar, strategic advisor of the International WELL Building Institute, expert in sustainable construction 2.0, promoter of a new generation of tools for sustainability and measurement of the well-being and impacts of buildings on human health. The International WELL Building Institute is a private organization whose mission is to improve human health and well-being through the built environment.
