Mexico. InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) announced the opening of the first Holiday Inn hotel in the Santa Fe area of Mexico City. The 95 rooms of the new property are located in an area of high relevance to the city, within walking distance of the main corporate offices, entertainment and shopping venues, including the Santa Fe Shopping Center, the largest shopping center in the country.
Gerardo Murray, regional vice president of distribution and commercial marketing for IHG Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean, said, "We are excited to bring the Holiday Inn brand to Santa Fe. The area is developing rapidly and has become the most important business center, and we are confident that travelers will welcome you to the range of services and all the modern conveniences found in a trusted brand like Holiday Inn."
Amenities at the Holiday Inn - Mexico Santa Fe hotel include a swimming pool, fully equipped fitness center, business center, and meeting or event rooms with a maximum capacity of 500 people. Guests can also enjoy the lobby bar and restaurant, L'Etoile, which offers a variety of traditional Mexican dishes and where children under 12 eat for free when ordering from the children's menu in the company of an adult diner.
The hotel is owned and managed by Operadora de Estancias Turísticas S.C. and is located on Ave. Guillermo Gonzalez Camarena 1400, just 30 minutes from Mexico City International Airport. Santa Fe is also home to two other IHG properties, the Presidente InterContinental Santa Fe Hotel and the Holiday Inn Express Mexico Santa Fe Hotel.
