Brazil. The business management software development company TOTVS and Samsung SDS, the IT and logistics services unit of the Samsung group, announced a commercial alliance with the aim of offering a unique solution of total visibility of logistics processes. Developed together, the software monitors all logistics areas, with traceability and location functions of purchase orders and delivery of goods. The objective is to collaborate in improving the competitiveness of companies through logistics efficiency.
Under the name of TOTVS Supply Chain Intelligence (SCI), the solution guarantees companies an overview of the entire logistics and distribution chain, from the supply of the product to the delivery of the sale to the customer. The software allows you to extract performance indicators, identify process deviations – marking future delays -, in addition to sending electronic notices (SMS or e-mails) about exceptions and events during logistics flows.
The new solution was created from Samsung's integrated logistics solution SDS, called Cello, which covers the accompaniment, tracking and monitoring of all stages of logistics and the supply chain. The association aims to integrate complementary functionalities to the ERP of TOTVS but the system can be integrated into any ERP on the market.
One of the great differentials of the new solution is the possibility of monitoring various control points within the delivery flow of a certain product. From the receipt of a sales order, the SCI monitors all stages until the delivery of the order, such as the commercial and financial release of the merchandise. During the sequence, it confirms the shipment, the check-in by means of issuance of invoice and printing.
Tracking continues through freight management, with printing and release of cargo packaging until delivery registration. All monitored point to point, within the system and, in case of detecting an abnormality within the flow, the system generates alerts and reports. Thus, customers have the ability to analyze their activities allowing the identification of bottlenecks and action to raise the level of service.
