International . HID Global obtained ISO 14001:2004 certification for environmental management systems for its headquarters and operations center for North America located in Austin, Texas. The certification was granted by SGS, an accredited independent organization, after that entity will conduct an audit to verify that the environmental management system of the Austin facilities conformed to the requirements of the standard.
Some of the elements included in the standard are compliance with environmental legislation, pollution prevention, minimization of energy and resource use and the ability to exceed customers' environmental expectations in terms of environmental performance.
