Guatemala. The high commitment to sustainability that Naranjo Mall has demonstrated since its design and construction, has been recognized by the Sustainable Construction Council of the United States (USGBC) with the delivery of the LEED Certification (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design, for its acronym in English).
This demonstrates that the mall has been designed, planned and built to a standard of efficiency in the use and management of the site, energy consumption, water, materials, resources and indoor environmental quality.
LEED CS certification is granted only to buildings that worldwide have met the requirements of the standard. Naranjo Mall is distinguished by implementing practices to minimize the environmental impact it exerts on the environment, which has allowed it to add value to the community where it operates.
"At Spectrum, we strongly believe in sustainability as a fundamental condition for positively impacting people's lives in the long term. A better world is built by systematically identifying better ways to develop and operate top-tier real estate projects. It is precisely this vision that we have put into practice in Naranjo Mall, we want our projects to be socially responsible, economically feasible and friendly to the environment, "said Eng. Carlos Ramírez Rámila, Development Manager of Spectrum.
Naranjo Mall is Spectrum's first LEED certified mall in Guatemala. It stands out for a process that was carried out with a multidisciplinary team of companies and professionals to integrate all the strategies in search of a more efficient project that offers healthier and more productive spaces to users. Likewise, the shopping center has several high-efficiency technologies that guarantee the optimization of the use of natural resources.
