International. Lighting company Osram has partnered with Rifiniti, a specialist in analysis software, to implement its technology in the Encelium Extend light management system. This union aims to offer new IoT solutions to smart buildings to improve operational efficiency, final results, as well as increase the comfort of users.
The SensiLum sensor integrated in Osram luminaires collects information on the status of the intelligent lighting network and environmental data. This information is stored on the company's new Lightelligence platform, which uses cloud services to facilitate access to information from anywhere.
"OSRAM has a strong history of lighting innovation, and its luminaire components and lighting management systems have created an ideal infrastructure for collecting data that enables our applications to optimize space. Lighting is ubiquitous and offers granular coverage in all spaces, including conference rooms and individual offices, in contrast to other data options that are limited to zones," said Irina Mladenova, President and Head of Customer Success, Rifiniti.
Third-party software integration
By using cloud services, and through an API, a SaaS of third-party developers can be implemented for applications focused on intelligent buildings that manage the information obtained from the nodes.
For its part, Rifiniti offers its Optimo analysis software that offers the user the ability to plan office spaces to obtain an optimization of resources and greater efficiency for workers by having a flexible workspace.
"The IoT world is growing exponentially, and partnering with organizations whose products and expertise complement ours keeps us and our end customers at the forefront of IoT," said Tom Shottes, GROUP CEO of OSRAM Digital Systems, Americas Region.
