International. The fifth edition of the European BIM Summit (EBS19) will be held on April 11 and 12, 2019 at the AXA Auditorium, located in the Illa Diagonal business and commercial center in Barcelona.
The European BIM Summit is an annual international congress on Building Information Modelling (BIM) held in Barcelona, organized by the Col·legi d'Aparelladors de Barcelona (CAATEEB), BIM Academy and buildingSMART Spain, with the aim of disseminating good practices in the use of BIM, as well as the sharing of BIM methodologies and international alignment. Roca supports the event as a main partner for the fifth consecutive year, which has already become a European benchmark in terms of BIM at its annual event.
The company dedicated to products for the bathroom space is one of the precursors worldwide of the use of this methodology and in the digitization of its products to include them in the BIM catalog.
The event will open on April 10 with an event open to the local public, the BIM Experience, where the latest technical opportunities in the sector will be presented. To the session will be added the BIM4Students, a space designed to publicize the possibilities of this methodology to future professionals in the building sector.
The second and third days will take place the summit itself, in which the situation of BIM in Europe and in the world will be analyzed. The first day of EBS19, under the title BIM Present, will be dedicated to BIM applications in the Nordic countries, with Finland as the vanguard country. It will delve into topics such as services and practical methodologies aimed at maintaining and managing built heritage or the role of Facility Management. The day will end with a networking dinner, which will be one of the great novelties of this edition.
The last day, under the title BIM Future, will be dedicated to the presentations of world BIM experts, both from the point of view of computer environments and collaborative flows, the new services that are appearing and the growth of international start-ups, Blockchain and more than 14 case studies on everything that BIM will offer soon.
