Mexico. SafeStart is an advanced safety awareness training program, used by more than 3,000 companies, in more than 60 countries, with more than 3 million people trained.
Critical error reduction techniques help improve not only safety culture and decision-making, but employee performance, decreasing human error. Companies have reported an average of 70% reduction in injuries in a short period of time. SafeStart also highlights that bad habits and human errors influence ergonomic problems, leading to absenteeism and long-term permanent injuries.
On February 20, this company will hold a one-day workshop called "Demo Day SafeStart for Ergonomics", given by Dr. Robert Cannon, Canadian specialist, at the Hilton Santa Fe Hotel, in Mexico City, who will talk about how to treat ergonomic problems effectively from 8 in the morning.
The specialist will explain the approach of the SafeStart program for Ergonomics, which combines the traditional understanding of body posture with personal safety ideas that allow employees to recognize the clear signs of repetitive movements and excessive efforts, which can lead to injuries. The topics in this program are: Posture and Body Positioning; Exercises to Prevent Injuries; Techniques for Recovery and Strengthening; Lifting Techniques; Associated Cognitive Functions and Habits Related to Ergonomics.
This practical program applies in any organization by turning the concepts of the program into new habits and skills that support the desired renewal of long-term security, and provides simple and productive methods that promote the improvement of skills and safety communication.
On this day, there is also a section called "Assess Your Status", which is a tool that empowers supervisors by engaging all stakeholders (through a universal and neutral SafeStart vocabulary) and fosters an understanding of the true level of risk in real time.
Another section that will be addressed in this workshop is "SafeTrack", which is a process of observation and feedback, uses the concepts of the SafeStart safety awareness program and aims to reduce accidents at work through observation and a positive, efficient and motivating effort.
