Mexico. IMEI BOMA begins a new institutional stage with the arrival of Eng. Ariel Campos Trejo to the presidency for the period 2026-2027, accompanied by Alberto Morett Dosal as executive vice president.
The new leadership presented an agenda structured in seven strategic axes aimed at strengthening the professionalization, sustainability and operational performance of buildings in Mexico.
The association – the Mexican Association of Smart and Sustainable Buildings – thus ratified its commitment to the evolution of the sector and to the consolidation of its role as a national benchmark in smart and sustainable building.
Seven axes for a new stage
Campos Trejo assumes the presidency with a roadmap that seeks to generate immediate value for professionals linked to the operation and sustainability of real estate in the country.
The first axis contemplates the comprehensive strengthening of the IMEI BOMA brand, with the aim of repositioning the organization as the articulator of the national ecosystem of smart buildings and consolidating a more solid presence within the sector.
Second, the strategy focuses on increasing value for associates through sustained membership growth and the integration of more diverse profiles, ensuring representation and tangible benefits for all industry players.
The third axis promotes new strategic alliances with leading organizations in sustainability and real estate operation, under the premise that the most relevant advances are achieved through collaboration, both nationally and internationally.
As a fourth point, the association will reinforce its leadership in world-class certifications, promoting the BOMA BEST and BOMA 360 standards to raise the operational performance of buildings in Mexico and expand the number of buildings with superior and measurable performance levels.
The fifth axis seeks to consolidate the recognition of operational excellence by strengthening the IMEI BOMA Award as the highest distinction for buildings that apply international best practices and demonstrate commitment to efficiency, safety and sustainability.
Sixth, priority is given to the expansion of technical knowledge, expanding access to technologies, training and certifications that allow the management of real estate assets in multiple verticals, beyond the traditional office environment.
Finally, the seventh axis promotes the full activation of the triple helix model, fostering structured collaboration between academia, government, and private initiative to accelerate the transformation of the built environment in Mexico.
Institutional continuity
When handing over the baton and joining the association's Council, Eng. Alicia Bandala Pimentel highlighted the work carried out during her 2024-2025 term.
"Throughout these four years, including my vice presidency, I have witnessed an extraordinary evolution. IMEI BOMA has shown that collaboration, technical vision and commitment to the industry can transform realities. And most importantly: we will not stop here. The future presents new opportunities and challenges, and our mission remains to drive a smarter, more sustainable and ready real estate industry."
"I am sure that the new board of directors, chaired by Eng. Ariel Campos, will not only give continuity to the projects and initiatives that have led us to this point, but will also guide us towards the next stage of growth and consolidation."
Leadership with an international vision
The new stage of IMEI BOMA is based on Campos Trejo's more than two decades of experience in the technology industry applied to buildings. His international experience at Siemens AG, Germany, as well as his current responsibility as Sales Head of SI Buildings for Latin America, allow him to provide a comprehensive vision in the implementation of safety, comfort and efficiency solutions in the built environment.
For his part, Alberto Morett Dosal, with more than 20 years of experience in corporate and mixed-use asset management, will assume the executive vice presidency with the aim of translating global standards into daily practice. His participation in the International Executive Committee of BOMA International also brings a global perspective to this new stage.
"At IMEI BOMA we assume the responsibility of leading the evolution of the built environment in Mexico, promoting buildings that operate better, consume less and generate greater value for people, cities and the country." said Ariel Campos Trejo upon taking office.
