The Radisson chain and Atlantica Hotels International have announced the opening of a new luxury hotel in the city of Vitória, capital of the state of Espírito Santo. The 234-room building is located in the center of the Praia do Canto area, in the fourth best capital to live in Brazil, according to the UN. Partially owned by RS Incorpordora, the hotel will be managed by Atlantica. All rooms and suites feature ocean views, high-speed internet access, 29-inch TVs, and a minibar. A recreation area at the top of the building includes an outdoor pool, a sauna, a massage room and a fitness center. The 200-seat Origens Restaurant serves three meals a day, and offers 24-hour room service. Meeting facilities can accommodate up to 300 people in soundproof lounges, advanced visual and audio equipment and professional assistance. To reduce the hotel's environmental impact, the building was built with advanced technology to automate all mechanical systems, according to Odissey Magazine.
Mark Williams, vice president of development for North America, said, "Best Western is proud to welcome the new Blue Bay Village brand to our chain."
