International . The International Association of Building Owners and Managers, BOMA, recognized 15 commercial properties with The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) award at its annual international conference held in Los Angeles at the end of June.
The TOBY Awards are the most important recognition in the commercial real estate industry, with this award honoring excellence in the management of properties of this type in different categories of size and type of property.
Parameters for choosing winners include, community impact, tenant/landlord relationship program, energy management systems, accessibility, emergency evacuation procedures, staff training programs, and global quality indicators. In addition, a team of industry professionals conducts comprehensive inspections of buildings.
