Colombia. In the sixth version of ConstruVerde, International Forum & Expo Sustainable Design and Construction, a program will be developed focused on issues of great relevance to the national agenda of policies and actions to achieve sustainable cities. The event will feature experts who will analyse the implications of the new standards on sustainable construction and share trends in environmentally responsible projects, materials and solutions.
According to Cristina Gamboa, executive director of the CCCS, "ConstruVerde Colombia 2015 will demonstrate how the construction sector can contribute to the challenges posed by the post-conflict, climate change and the strategy of low-carbon development and green growth, the latter contained in the National Development Plan".
Gamboa added that "during the contest we will have the leaders and experts who, through keynote talks, thematic rooms and showcases of projects, materials and solutions, will provide us with lights and tools to make our cities more equitable, safe, healthy and sustainable."
Among the most striking activities to be carried out within the framework of the event, it stands out that Rachel Gutter will deliver on behalf of the USGBC (American Council on Sustainable Construction), the distinctive plates of Certification in sustainable construction LEED to two outstanding Colombian buildings, whose names will not be known until the moment of delivery.
ConstruVerde will take place on Wednesday, September 9 and Thursday, September 10, 2015, at the Cubo de Colsubsidio in Bogotá and is organized by the Colombian Council for Sustainable Construction, CCCS.
