Mexico. In order to address cutting-edge issues around the AEC Industry (for the acronym in English of Architecture, Engineering and Construction), from today until November 30 the First Ibero-American Congress of Technology and Innovation for the AEC Industry – CITI AEC 2018 – is held in Mexico City.
The BlackBerry Auditorium of the Mexican capital, was the space chosen to begin the exchange of experiences, where the best national and international speakers will be presenting the latest in advances, methodologies and discoveries as a reference for professionals who wish to know and debate multiple ideas, concepts and processes for the constant improvement of the AEC Industry.
Juan Pablo de la Torre, General Director of Autodesk Mexico, Tomás Sánchez, Corporate Market Development Manager of Autodesk, as well as Mauricio Irastorza, Sales Specialist Technician at Autodesk Mexico, participated during the first day of the event with the aim of communicating the most current trends within the Architecture industry,
Engineering and Construction.

The event includes exhibitions, conferences and dialogue tables focused on topics of great relevance such as: Construction 4.0, BIM and Virtual Design & Construction, Manufacturing, Reality Capture, Extended Reality, Project Management, among other topics of relevance.
Autodesk served as a major participant in key conferences on how BIM has revolutionized the Construction Industry and project management from the planning and design stage through the use of technology tools that facilitate project conceptualization. Finally, we also talked about the impact of the benefits granted by the implementation of the BIM Methodology making projects more efficiently concrete, encompassing criteria such as saving time and costs, allowing collaboration between the various areas of a project and allowing the visualization of parameters and performance indicators.
