A cooperation agreement was signed between the hotel firm NH Hoteles and UNICEF with the aim of raising donations to help unprotected children around the world. The strategy has been called "Guest at heart" and will be carried out in the establishments of Mexico, from there they will pass into the hands of the organization.
For each donation made by hotel guests, they will be given a postcard with images referring to children in Latin America.
In addition to this initiative, NH en México is carrying out other cooperation and corporate social responsibility programs such as the "Youth Career Initiative", led by ITP (International Tourism Partnership), in which it contributes together with companies in the sector in the training and generation of employment in the hotel market for young Mexicans at risk of exclusion.
The firm was also part of the initiative "Helping is possible" in which funds were raised in favor of the educational project of the Lorena Ochoa Foundation in the state of Jalisco, as well as in almost 20 Corporate Volunteering projects in which NH Hoteles employees in Latin America participated in 2012.
From the company they emphasize that with this type of proposals, which they hope to extend to other latitudes of Latin America, it seeks to promote among employees and customers important values such as solidarity and responsibility.
The agreement between UNICEF and NH Hoteles is part of the Company's Social Action program "Up! for the People", in the line of action of "Up! for Hospitality", with which the group makes its products and services available to NGOs and Foundations.
