Guests expect free breakfast

About half of hotel, business or vacation guests expect to receive breakfast as part of the room rate, according to a new study by YPB&R, an international advertising agency specializing in the travel market, and reviewed on the hotels.com portal. The study, which will be published as in two separate parts for business and leisure travel, reveals that 49% of leisure travelers and 53% of corporate travelers attach great importance to the inclusion of breakfast in the hotel night rate. The latter give more importance to this aspect, so that 65% rate the complimentary breakfast as something extreme or very desirable. Likewise, 71% of leisure travelers enjoy trying new dishes when they go out for lunch or dinner. With a similar percentage among corporate travelers, the message is that both types of guests are willing to experiment. Similarly, 52% of business travelers prefer to dine in restaurants outside the hotel where they are staying. On the other hand, the nutritional information of the food they consume is not clear in any of the categories of travelers analyzed: 70% of tourists and 64% of workers respond that there is confusion in this aspect.
