Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita and the Punta Mita golf course have received for the second time the Tourism Environmental Quality award, granted by the Mexican government to entities that comply with the country's environmental legislation practicing sustainable development. The biannual award, which was launched in 2004, was awarded that year for the first time to the property, being the only organization in the tourism sector to receive it. For this reason, Christian Clerc, regional vice president and general manager of the Four Season Resort Punta Mita stated "We are proud to continue achieving the goals established by Mexico's environmental legislation." Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita and the Punta Mita golf course are part of the 1,500-acre Punta Mita urban development project located north of Puerto Vallarta on Mexico's Pacific coast.
