27 years ago Oro Verde Guayaquil was created, one of the two highest category hotels in Guayaquil, Ecuador, which has 70% of the market composed of corporate public and 30% tourism. This Hotel, member of The Leading Hotels of the World in Ecuador, is located in the center of the city and has a Swiss heritage but with Ecuadorian capital that have allowed it to provide its guests with hospitality, service, security, elegance, comfort and one of the best gourmet meals in the city.The Oro Verde Guayaquil Hotel has been a five-time winner of the World Travel Awards, also obtained the Smart Voyager, ISO 9001:2000, Quality Management System, ISO 14001: 2004, Environmental Management System and OHSAS 18001: 1999, Occupational Health and Safety Management System, simultaneously.
Today, and after a restructuring led by its general manager Sergio G. Rosarios, Oro Verde Guayaquil has 236 rooms, Club Floor with presidential suite and Oro Verde suite, three restaurants, a bar, delicatessen, room service, ten meeting rooms, executive center, swimming pool, gym, shopping arcade, casino and parking.
This remodeling process was carried out in restaurants, social areas and lounges.
The rooms for social and corporate events, which have a capacity of up to 1400 people, were remodeled according to the new line of development of the city and in order to give more space and service to their users. Likewise, the main lobby was restructured to give it more space and a more European touch in accordance with the latest trends in modern hospitality.
Within this process, the adaptation of the air conditioning system was carried out, which has a cold water centrifugal plant that works based on liquefied gas, LPG; plastic pipes were also replaced with copper pipes, electrical networks, fire alarm control panels and security systems were changed; in addition, both the HVAC/R and the security system were completely modernized. In order to contribute even more to the care of the environment, a recycling program was created that involves all areas of the hotel. The cellars, grease traps, garbage rooms and kitchen were reorganized.
The distribution of the rooms was the last phase of this project of readaptation of Oro Verde. In this one some suites were sacrificed to have more single and double rooms, in addition to the Club Floor (Executive Floor) of the level that is currently available. The Oro Verde Club Floor offers guests all the comforts: wireless Internet, fax service and laptop at your disposal (subject to availability). Each room has programmable lights, alarm clock with iPod port, LCD TV and double glazing that ward off outside noise and minimize heat, as well as allowing for energy savings.
