This announcement is made since hotel occupancy stands at 84.7% and therefore more investments are required to meet the needs demanded by tourism, although there are currently six Spanish projects in development. It should be noted that in 2008 the country received 1.6 million visitors and that tourism represents 11.8% of the national GDP.
Nordström says that this is the country that grew the most in all of Latin America and the government expects that this year will have a development of 8% more.
