The new Hilton Phoenix Chandler will use animated 3D instructions on iPods to train and instruct its home maintenance staff. Thus, new staff will receive visual work instructions to standardize, optimize and communicate procedures clearly, seeking with this alternative to manuals to break language barriers and ensure consistency and excellence so expensive to the hotel industry. This advancement allows new staff, of any language and with no previous experience, to easily go through 50 steps on an iPod. Turn-by-turn navigation consists of two-dimensional icons and three-dimensional animations, which show the tasks to be performed without the need for words. Additional benefits include: shorter training time, faster learning curves, and consistency in training.
