The government of Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic) ordered the staff of hotels located in provinces that have registered cases of AH1N1 influenza to wear masks and gloves, and in the process cancel events in resorts that gather considerable numbers of people."These hotels will also have to cancel the celebrations of activities with crowds of people, such as parties, shows, discos and artistic presentations, until further notice," said the Minister of Public Health, Bautista Rojas Gómez.
Recent data on this virus indicate that 92 people have died out of around 12,954 cases of infection in 46 countries.
