Condé Nast Traveller magazine awarded the World Savers award to Puntacana Resort & Club for its educational programs and to Accor for its health initiatives. This recognition is received by those companies that stand out for their corporate social responsibility (CSR). Puntacana Resort & Club was awarded for its contribution to the community that includes the construction of local public and private schools in order to contribute to the development of the families that work within the complex.
Within this third installment of the World Savers awards, Bushmans Kloof, in South Africa, were also distinguished for the protection of animals; Las Haciendas, in Mexico, for the reduction of poverty and the Kimpton Hotels chain, for cultural and environmental conservation.
