Nearly 1,100 registered attendees and 60 exhibiting companies participated in the first version of InspireDesign, the fair for the designer and architect of the hotel industry, which took place between February 1 and 3, 2010 at the World Market Center Las Vegas.Julián Arcila, editor-in-chief of Latin Press Inc, publisher of the magazine GERENCIA DE HOTELES and media partner of the event, said that the event could be deciphered as something more than shocking. "In the same space were gathered the best brands with the most innovative products in terms of design, not only for hotels, but for decoration in general," he said.
For the exhibitors this event also generated a high impact on the attendees. Ronnie Hodge, founder of Dimension Millworks, exhibitor of the fair, said that 95% of the people who visited the stand commented that this was one of the most inspiring fairs they had seen.
InspireDesign's mission, as mentioned by the senior vice president of the World Market Center, Philip McKay, is to improve the multi-faceted business platform established in the World Market Center and offer new opportunities to contact buyers and expand distribution channels. "InspireDesign presented more than a trade show experience, we are committed to developing education and networking at a high level; we are proud of the content and social opportunities that were presented this year," he added.
As for the educational content, it was useful. For the Editor-in-Chief of Latin Press Inc, the training sessions were quite positive, as they addressed topics of the latest trend dictated by experts. One of the items that stood out the most was the design panel for hotels in Latin America, led by the magazine GERENCIA DE HOTELES.
In 2011, InspireDesign will be held January 24-26 at the World Market Center Las Vegas.
