Three big names in the travel sector come together to offer a new booking service

Lonely Planet Hotels and Hostels relaunch in partnership with Expedia and Hostelworld.com

Lonely Planet, the most trusted travel information company, has joined forces with two of the world's leading accommodation providers, Expedia and Hostelworld.com, to offer a unique accommodation booking service.

The new service provides travelers with tens of thousands of author reviews and recommendations written by 360 Lonely Planet authors around the world. From budget hostels in Adelaide to designer boutique hotels in Zurich, travellers can evaluate facilities and book online safely on Expedia and Hostelworld.com.

"Combining Lonely Planet's vast number of author reviews of accommodations with the deep inventory provided by Expedia and Hostelworld is a real triumph for our travelers. They get trusted advice, a competitive price and a wide range of website that is easy to use," explains Troy Suda, Global Head of Hotels and Emerging Business online at Lonely Planet.

For the new service, Lonely Planet looked globally for partners where there was a strong match between lonely Planet authors' reviews and available properties from potential partners.

The authors of Lonely Planet travel the world writing recommendations on accommodation options that meet the needs of all travelers, hence two partners were selected to offer booking properties across a wide range of destinations and accommodations.

This agreement builds on the long-standing relationship between Hostelworld.com and Lonely Planet and allows us to take advantage of independent and authentic reviews from the world's most experienced and reliable travel writers.
