The category 4 certification, on a scale between 1 and 5, was awarded to the hotel for its commitment to sustainable development in the areas of corporate environmental management, accommodation, food and beverage service, conference and meeting services, maintenance and engineering.
The recognition is received after the Radisson Royal Bogotá Hotel was part of the "Responsible Business" program established by Carlson Companies (to which the Radisson Hotel chain belongs) which creates policies and alliances that minimize the ecological footprint.
For Ángela María Gómez, general manager of the establishment, "during this process we implemented several practices that have allowed us to reduce electricity consumption by 10%, water consumption by 9% and 40% in the generation of polluting waste".
