With the launch of the new hotel organization Movich, Hotels & Resort, Germán Efromovich, and his group of collaborators begin a new path in Colombia with a view to expanding to other countries in Latin America.
This Colombian organization already has three hotels: Rionegro, Cartagena and Pereira, having among its upcoming plans the construction and operation of different establishments in Bogotá, Barranquilla, San Andrés and Santa Marta.
Juan Pablo Franki, manager of Movich Hotels & Resort, told HOTEL MANAGEMENT that the company will invest 150 billion pesos (about US$77.5 million) in its Colombian hotels and both he and Efromovich assured that they believe and bet on Colombia to be one of the best countries in the region to invest.
"The growth of the Colombian economy is very good. The potential that the country has ahead of it is great and there is a lot of room to grow. The signing of the FTA, pro-export efforts and agreements with European countries have put Colombia in the crosshairs of tourism and business travel," said Germán Efromovich.
Regarding the situation in Latin America and the crises that occur in Europe and the United States, Efromovich said that the region must be more active, looking for ways to sell and potentiate its destinations. "The region is in a privileged situation," he said.
The hotels that are within the company's portfolio will offer quality services and will allow AviancaTaca's miles to be redeemed in order to contribute to the promotion and good positioning of Colombia abroad.
