Recently the independent website that is responsible for collecting opinions from travelers throughout Europe, Zoover International, presented the Zoover Award 2012 that represented more than 73 awards to the Spanish hotel chain Riu Hotels & Resorts.
27 of the group's establishments were awarded the Zoover Award 2012, ten won the Zoover Highly Recommended Award and 36 more took the Recommended Zoover distinction.
Some 1300 hotels from all over the world entered the list of the most popular for having strictly complied with the quality criteria required by the organization of the event.
In Latin America , the Hotel Riu Palace Mexico, located in Playa del Carmen, won the award as the best in its country.
Accommodations with an average rating of 8.5 or more points received the Highly Recommended Zoover certificate. The Recommended Zoover badge was awarded to certified hotels with an average score of 7.5 to 8.5. All ratings are based on a scale on which 10 is the highest score.
The factors evaluated by the clients were service, location, value for money, food, rooms and suitable for children.
