Novotel hotels in Mexico will renew their children's menu during the summer to offer healthy dishes in order to educate and raise awareness about overweight, a problem that has become a serious public health situation in the inhabitants of that country.
To learn about the children's preferences, the firm convened a group of between four and 12 years of age to choose their favorite dishes.
It was a day of nutritional education with very fun activities where the little ones became, for a few hours, super chefs choosing starters, main dishes and desserts prepared with healthy ingredients and processes.
Chefs Rénier Kotze, Executive Chef of the firm's hotel located in Santa Fe and Roberto Martínez, Executive Chef of Monterrey Valle, were in charge of preparing the varied menu with advice from nutrition experts.
"Internationally, Novotel is known as a hotel chain that is adept at serving families. The family program aims to offer more benefits for parents and children to live a special experience with pleasant surprises during their stay, "says Douglas Goncalves, general manager of the firm in Santa Fe.
This service adds to the catalog of options that the organization makes available to children and their families, including the possibility of booking a second room for children under 16 with a 50% discount; check out on Sundays until 5:00 p.m., swimming pool, recreation area open on weekends and holidays, educational games for children between zero and seven years old, xBox console and Apple Corner, free internet access and, now, a special healthy menu for the little ones.
