Through an initiative that was born nine years ago, the Radisson hotel chain celebrates throughout the month of September and in all the establishments of the brand around the world, the month of social responsibility.
This proposal envisions a month of special activities to celebrate with local communities. For nine years the firm has been carrying out this type of activity in its establishments in Europe and three years ago they have been doing the same in hotels in the Americas.
One of the proposed actions is to participate on 29 and 30 September in the "Walk the world for childhood" in support of the World Childhood Foundation, a body created by Queen Silvia of Sweden in 1999 in support of children, mainly victims of sexual abuse.
To join this initiative, the hotels members of the Carlson Rezidor group around the world will organize recreational walks of five kilometers with their employees and family members with the aim of totaling a global distance greater than that of the earth of 40,000 kilometers.
In addition, this group is an official partner of the global movement World Cleanup 2012 in which volunteers and organizations are responsible for cleaning up garbage in about 100 countries.
On the other hand, the Radisson Plaza Hotel & Convention Center of La Paz sponsored for the fourth consecutive year the event "Banquete Migajas", giving the space and service for the solidarity meeting of the Arco Iris Foundation, whose work is to help thousands of orphaned and abandoned children.
