Despite the economic crisis hitting Europe hard, the facility services industry has managed to stay and float quite successfully.
Such is the case of the European services company ISS Facility Services Spain, which recently reported its 2012 results, revealing a turnover per business of about US $ 800 million, significant progress if one takes into account the fall of the European market by 9%.
The executive president of ISS in Spain, Joaquim Borrás, explained that the company has been able to achieve new sales worth 75 million euros (about US$90 million), despite the reduction in services to customers.
For the manager, service companies, and more specifically ISS, have become a refuge, solvent and effective, with the ability to meet the demands of the business market in an agile way.
Currently ISS Spain offers services of restoration, maintenance, security, auxiliary services, cleaning, gardening, pest control and environmental hygiene. The firm has its headquarters in Sant Cugat del Vallès (Barcelona) and employs about 30,000 workers throughout Spain, a fact that is remarkable if you look at the unemployment situation that that country is experiencing in the last four years.
