Colombia. "Maintenance and operation of facilities is Facility Management", is the title of the first talk offered in 2014 by the Association of Modern Building Managers – AGEM. The meeting will be held next Thursday, February 6 in the city of Medellín from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 m. and will be free for all interested public.
The talk will be a basic training for all the people in charge of the operation and maintenance of buildings on what the Facility Manager is and its importance in all types of facilities.
The central topics that will be addressed are:
- Introduction and definition of Facility Management
- Opportunities
- Competencies and Value Propositions
- Challenges
The meeting will count as a speaker with arch. MBA Carlos Leyton, general manager FMax S.A.S., who since joining IBM's real estate and general services team in Colombia and Latin America in 1994 and to date, has participated in the development of facilities management services from all its edges in facilities and office, commercial and industrial buildings, locally and internationally and has been complementing his career with methodologies implemented in the areas of LEED and Project Management.
