International. The Institute of Asset Management (IAM) granted the company Sodexo a recognition for its work with different clients in sectors such as health, energy, corporate, mining, among others, in the physical management of its assets and infrastructure.
Sodexo thus becomes the first outsourcing company to receive the Asset Management Award from this body. Similarly, the company highlighted that the provision of Facility Management services is becoming increasingly important, so much so that by 2014 the income for the company for this concept reached 28% of its total profits.
According to the company's spokespersons, this reflects the need for companies to have complete and comprehensive services, of which the asset management program is a fundamental part.
Sylvia Metayer, CEO of global corporate services for Sodexo, said: "Customers expect global solutions from their partners, expect them to understand their business and be able to offer advanced technical services in an integrated way.
"But it's not just the delivery of the service, but the impact of these. When we ensure that the client has a safe and comfortable workspace, designed with the highest efficiency rates, their work teams perform better," he added.
For his part, in statements to the local media Portafolio, Juan Camilo Chaves, CEO of Sodexo Colombia, said that the award "ratifies the great work that we have been developing in the countries of the region."
