Colombia. With an annual growth of 18% in the office market, the coastal city of Barranquilla is positioned as an important market within the real estate landscape of Colombia. In the same sense, Bogotá presented for 2014 a growth of 8% per year, according to information revealed by the company Colliers International.
In general, the opening of offices in the country is increasing thanks to the arrival of foreign companies attracted by economic stability and the cost of human resources, so for this 2015, it is expected that office spaces will increase by 21%, equivalent to 443,000 square meters.
According to statements by Juliana Vásquez, Office Consultant of Colliers International Colombia, to the local media Dinero, "long-term opportunities will come to have more foreign investors, one of the great strengths is that most of the developers are building high specification buildings, which comply with all international standards and provide greater interest and security for multinationals."
Despite the increase presented by Barranquilla, Bogotá remains the city with the largest inventory of corporate real estate, with 75% of the country's total.
"A favorable dynamism positions Bogotá as the city of great alternatives for the office market, being the most attractive city for real estate entrepreneurship projects and will continue to mark a leadership in the office market due to its great capacity to cover the market," says the report.
