Mexico. At an event held last Thursday at the W Mexico City hotel in the Mexican capital, KIO Networks received two CEEDA certifications for its data centers. After an arduous evaluation process, the company obtained Silver category accreditation for the RediT Tultitlán complex and Gold certification for KIO Santa Fe.
CEEDA (Certified Energy Efficiency in Data Centres Award) is an independent program of international reach, which provides an audited and certified evaluation of the implementation of best practices in energy efficiency within a data center.
This certification proposes an operational and deployment action plan, in order to further improve performance, while allowing organizations to compare the performance of their facilities in energy matters.
The entire certification process was advised by the company DatacenterDynamics so José Friebel, CEO of this company, was in charge of delivering the recognition to Dax Simpson, director of data center infrastructure at KIO Networks.
During the ceremony Friebel said that "we want to thank KIO for the confidence in the evaluation process and for opening the doors of its data center here in Mexico to develop a detailed analysis of the implementation of a set of best practices in energy efficiency, operational management, mechanical-electrical management and information technology management."
