Peru. The Facility Management line of the Sodexo service company, Peru branch, is becoming increasingly important within the company and presents an accelerated growth, so the managers announced that they will focus their efforts on strengthening the offer of integral services.
Alfredo García, general manager of Sodexo Peru, pointed out that there is great potential in its facilities management line, a segment responsible for its corporate division having grown in the last year more than any other area of the company.
"Every day companies outsource more facilities management services. I mean Sodexo manages your facility, factory or building chain. Everything that is the 'backoffice' or basic maintenance. That's where more growth is coming," Garcia explained.
Although Sodexo is recognized at the business level for its food services, today this segment is being overshadowed by that of Facility Management, a division that in 2014 grew by 20% and billed about 100 million soles.
"The food sector has become a commodity while the facilities management sector is more of a qualitative issue," García said.
