The renowned Colombian companies Conconcreto and Grupo Argos announced the creation of a joint venture dedicated to investment and real estate management, which will begin operating from the first of August with a portfolio of assets of 1.8 billion pesos and more than 437 thousand square meters in operation.
In statements to the local media El Colombiano, Juan Luis Aristizábal Vélez, president of Conconcreto, said that "the business is advancing, we are already in the process of constitution of the operating company of the assets. The consolidation of the assets of both companies is also being done and from the first of August the employees of each of the companies that pass to the new alliance will be transferred, so that the new company begins to operate. "
For his part, José Alberto Vélez Cadavid, president of Grupo Argos, pointed out that "the big goal is to have at the turn of three years a fund that will have assets of 2.6 billion pesos (1,000 million dollars), focusing on the development of shopping centers, offices, industrial warehouses and other small ones for logistics storage."
