As recently announced by the National Institute of Anthropology and History of Mexico, through one of its delegates, Mr. José María Muñoz Bonilla, it is necessary to change the lighting facilities that embellish the monuments and buildings in the first painting of the capital, since with the passage of time, they deteriorate.
According to the official, the lighting that currently works in the architectural monuments of the capital is not the most recommended, and that even some of these luminaires have caused damage to the structures.
Likewise, it was reported that at this moment a joint work is being carried out with the state government of Mexico which has declared itself respectful of the considerations and observations that have been raised from the National Institute of Anthropology and History.
Muñoz was emphatic in explaining that it is necessary to make an analysis in the buildings and historical monuments that have this type of lighting, in order to detect which buildings will need to be intervened through a change of lights and a repair of the damage.
The analysis must be done in detail, building by building, because you can not install the same luminaire in all, that depends on the material of which the building is built.
"It is not the same to illuminate the Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of Zacatecas to illuminate a hotel, it must be respected that within the lighting that the historical monument is not affected," Muñoz explained.
Some of the buildings to which the change must be made are of scenic light are the Cathedral Basilica, the Government Palace and the Mala Noche, the Calderón Theater and the González Ortega Market.
