With the firm aim of ending boring hotels and pleasing technology-loving guests, Meliá launches its world's first Twitter Experience Hotel in Mallorca.
The @SolWaveHouse is a beach hotel allows interactivity between its customers, has 184 rooms with sea views, solarium terrace of 2,640 square meters, swimming pools, Californian-style restaurants, lounge and areas for events such as concerts.
"With the new Twitter Experience, the hotel takes another step in satisfying the expectations of an increasingly experiential and social customer through new technologies," says the director of the establishment, Gonzalo Echevarría.
The Twitter Experience Hotel is based on a virtual community that can be accessed only by connecting to the hotel's Wifi service called #SocialWave, this account can be accessed from any mobile or electronic device.
The hotel has two Twitter Concierges, dedicated exclusively to attending to requests from guests via Twitter and to generate conversation in this virtual community, acting as a link between all customers.
In this way, guests will be able to "chat" with each other, get to know each other, experiment, flirt, compete, share photos, etc. Every corner of the hotel is designed to start a new conversation.
Likewise, the company has created spacious rooms designed and equipped with everything necessary to accommodate four people, these are the #TwitterPartySuites, there you can enjoy a bottle of cava, isotonic drinks and special attentions such as discounts of 20% in all bars and restaurants in the leisure area, VIP hammock, customizable minibar and free consumption in the #TwitterParty, which will be held every Friday at the hotel.
