A new app for accounting systems promises to double the sales of small and medium-sized businesses in Nicaragua. This new system will be implemented in 70 SMEs in the country thanks to the financing of Banpro Grupo Promerica through the Impulsa tu Empresa program, currently executed by Technoserve.
It is expected that this new application will allow companies in this segment to increase their sales that currently are US $ 16.3 million per year to US $ 29.3 million in the same period.
According to Ryan Bathirk, Program Manager for Central America at Tecnoserve, this new software will help organize the finances of companies, of which 35% are managed by women.
Felipe Cobos, Business Credit Manager of Banpro Grupo Promerica, commented that the businesses that will implement this new development correspond to the areas of manufacturing, commerce, agribusiness, tourism, aquaculture production and food, among others.
For Cobos, SMEs are a pillar and an important engine in the development of that country, therefore, as indicated, the financial company strongly supports this sector through its lines of credit and sponsorships.
The beneficiary SMEs currently employ more than 2,174 people and generate annual sales of US$16.3 million. The program is expected to increase sales by $13 million annually and create 750 new jobs.
