Despite the concern expressed by certain sectors of tourism about the increase in rates expected in the hotel segment in London during the XXX edition of the Olympic Games, the number of reservations reported in that city so far this year has grown by 464%.
This is announced in the latest report published by the world hotel booking website hoteles.com. "London's infrastructure has arranged more than 40,000 rooms for media, international sports federations, International Olympic Committee, organizing committee, sponsors and visitors," the document details.
With respect to the rates that were paid the previous year , prices have increased this year by 93%, March reported the largest increase in room prices per night and has been falling slightly by up to 5% for the month of May.
"That's why we recommend that this is the best time to make reservations, as there is still a wide variety of establishments, excellent offers and availability for the Olympic season in reputable hotels. Waiting could mean buying in a low-quality place with last-minute deals," said Nigel Pocklingnton, the portal's marketing director.
