Rand Worldwide, a global provider of technology solutions for organizations with engineering and information technology design requirements, today announced that its IMAGINiT Technologies technology division will launch a new addition to the IMAGINiT Clarity product family aimed at providing Facility Managers with access to Building Information Modeling (BIM) data to facilitate value generation throughout the entire building lifecycle.
The Clarity system allows the integration of this type of data with enterprise software systems such as ARCHIBUS.
"The results of our recent study 'Bim and FM Analysis' clearly show that there is a gap that needs to be solved between BIM and FM," says Joe Eichenseer, member of the IMAGINiT team.
"More than half of the building owners surveyed did not know how to extract critical data from their building information model," Eichenseer continues. "And only 27 percent of companies knew what kind of information provided by BIM would be useful to facility owners and managers. Clarity addresses this disconnect by allowing owners to query the model and extract useful data that can be easily imported into their facility management system."
