$ 127,000 million will be the investment that the Accor hotel group will make in five years in Colombia, however within two years it will inaugurate two three-star hotels of the Ibis brand aimed at executives and corporate groups in Medellín and Bogotá. In these hotels, $52,000 million will be invested.The establishment of the capital (Bogotá) will be located in the vicinity of the National Museum, in the international center of the city. In Medellin, the hotel will have between 120 and 200 rooms and will be located in a new development focus of the town called Ciudadela del Río.
The two hotels will generate 150 direct jobs and a similar number of indirect jobs.
Since 1995 the French group has been in Colombia managing the Sofitel brand, which has been consolidated in the country with the Santa Clara hotels in Cartagena and the Victoria Regia hotels located in Bogotá. For Accor, Colombia has become one of its priorities and the third market in Latin America after Mexico and Brazil.
