The hotel group announced the signing of a 15-year franchise agreement with Shakir Investment Group, for the construction of a new Staybridge Suites hotel, scheduled to open in late 2012 in Panama City.
This will be the first Staybridge Suites located in Central America and the second in Latin America. IHG has a 31-story, 215-room Staybridge Suites in Sao Paulo, Brazil and there are more than 180 hotels under the same brand open in the Americas, Europe and the Middle East.
The thirteen-story property will be located less than three kilometers from the Bridge of the Americas and next to the entrance to the popular Amador Causeway; It will have 122 rooms, of three types of suites, which will have available DVD and CD players, among other technologies.
