Mexico. With an investment of $170 million Mexican pesos, about US$11.5 million, Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) and the operator MEXAA are betting on the construction of a property in Puebla, Mexico. The new Staybridge Suite hotel began construction in November and is expected to be ready before the end of 2015.
This property will be added to three other Staybridge Suites brand hotels opened in Mexico, punctually in the cities of Monterrey, Guadalajara and Querétaro. The hotel will have 129 suites, distributed in a building of 8 floors, as well as a space of 114 square meters divided into three rooms for events and meetings.
"Staybridge Suites has recently become the fastest growing brand in the exclusive extended stay segment, and we are excited to contribute to that strong growth with another development in Mexico," said Gerardo Murray, Regional Vice President of Distribution and Marketing for IHG in Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean.
