Chosen by the technicians themselves
The paradores bet on Altro in their kitchens
In the last 15 months, five Paradores have been equipped with Altro pavements: Lerma (Burgos), Albacete, Villafranca del Bierzo (León), Lorca (Murcia), and Benicarló (Castellón). The model selected for all of them has been the Altro Stronghold™ 30 / K30, ideal for industrial kitchens, where it is essential to comply with the requirements set by the Technical Building Code (CTE).
In these months, Paradores has chosen a single non-slip floor for five of its buildings, specifically for the kitchen area: cooking, washing area, cold rooms, kitchen corridors, cafeteria and, in some cases, for the interior of the conservation chambers. The purpose is to increase security and comply with the technical security requirements dictated by the CTE.
The best option against falls
In Paradores, Altro non-slip floors are always specified when carrying out a work. Rafael Gómez, its Maintenance Technician, met the brand when he started working at the company in 2005. "Many chefs expressly ask for their installation to avoid these accidents and because they are floors that do not crack," he says. The advantages, from his point of view, do not end there: "That Altro increases safety is undoubted but, in addition, if you have to make an occasional repair, it is very simple; you just have to cut a small area and re-weld and in a moment the problem is solved. It is also a comfortable floor, which cushions and does not tire the legs in the long hours of work, "he adds.
