For his more than 20 years of experience in the market and hotel management, the Board of Directors of Grupo Piñero recently appointed Gabriel Felip as general director of the Hotels Division of the organization.
The firm has the brands Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts and Piñero Hotels, in the Dominican Republic.
Thanks to his extensive knowledge of the dynamics of this market in the international context, Felip achieved this new appointment after nearly five months of belonging to the Group.
The executive ran the Occidental Hotels chain until September 2011. Then, initially, he joined the group assuming the Expansion Directorate of Bahia Principe, where he was in charge of great responsibilities carried out with sufficient success to be appointed, later, deputy to the presidency of the company.
On the occasion of her appointment, the Group's Vice President of Marketing and Communication, Isabel Piñero García, considered that the arrival and promotion of Felip "will provide us with an extensive background to the achievement of the Objectives of the Piñero Group in aspects such as marketing, expansion into new markets and the positioning of the company, as well as the search for new management formulas aimed at overcoming efficiency ratios".
Major expansion plans are planned for the next five years, as the firm will build five new Bahia Principe Don Pablo Collection stores in the Dominican Republic. To this end, it will allocate an investment of US$250 million.
In the same way, it expects to grow in other territories and destinations by marketing the hotel and travel products of its brands.
